I see beauty in everything. In different styles and techniques. I try to develop paintings that convey the beauty that exists in the ancient African cultures.
Part of my process is to research these different cultures and recreate them on canvas as they relate to this contemporary era, starting with pictorial documentation of events/ day by day activities around the different Nigerian tribes, which is then transferred to canvas.
Not merely capturing images with my brush; with careful and colourful strokes, the movement of time is acknowledged. The hardworking lives of African women, fighting to be relevant and responsible in managing power, family emotions and passions.
With my works I preach for change , acceptance and inclusion to the voiceless girls/women of Africa. Much pleasure is found in exploring and experimenting with what is tagged #USELESS.
I am an Artist who finds happiness in creating from nothing, while trying to bring solutions to the challenges of mankind. Amidst all my challenges, Art has no limits; so creation continues.
